Ready, Set! Independent Day / Boarding School:

These are the formative years. Finding the right school for your child is essential to ensure the best path to adulthood. School is where children learn, socialize, and experience their collaborative world. Dana will guide your family through each phase of the process in selecting and applying to schools that provide the best educational experience for your child.

  • Consultation with families to ascertain student academic and extracurricular abilities and affinities

  • Analysis of report cards, academic assessments and/or evaluations

  • Observations of child in school setting, when appropriate

  • Development of school list

  • Guidance in school application and admissions timeline

  • Contact with teachers, tutors, and coaches

  • Support with essay development

  • Interview preparation

  • Test preparation strategies (ISEE, SSAT)

  • Referral and analysis for WPPSI-IV or WISC-V

  • Accompaniment to school visits as needed

The G.R.A.D. College Advising Process

Gather, Research, Apply, Decide - A four phase approach to the college admission process.

Starting early is key. Dana works with students as early as freshman year to build the strongest foundation of the optimal college-bound journey. This comprehensive process engages students to explore all options and make the best use of time both in and out of the classroom during high school. By Junior year, the college search and application process begins in earnest. Decisions and efforts made this year are crucial to securing the college that is the ultimate, optimal choice. Dana will meet with students regularly to research, prepare, apply, and decide for the best post-secondary plan.

Includes 20 or 30 hours of consulting work with additional hours available for purchase at an hourly rate.
