About Me
Dana Pease, M.Ed
Independent Educational Consultant
Dana has enjoyed a 26-year career devoted to education. She believes there is a place for every student to pursue learning. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Merritt E. Scoville, who founded Adirondack Community College in upstate New York, Dana inherited a passion for learning and helping students realize their educational opportunities.
Dana holds a master's of education from Lesley University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. She is also a proud graduate of The Winsor School in Boston, MA, where she was inspired by her teachers to pursue a career in educating others.
She began her teaching career at Milton Academy outside Boston. From there she relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, to teach at the Cincinnati Country Day School. Dana and her family then headed west, where she continued her work in the classroom at Graland Country Day School in Denver, only to eventually moved back to settle in Cincinnati where she taught at The Seven Hills School.
Dana’s passion has always been working with students and families to individualize instruction, which led her to the world of educational consulting. She has vast experience teaching in a variety of independent school settings, as well as extensive involvement on several admission committees. Dana is an active associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association. Collectively, Dana’s experience informs her profound understanding of the optimal relationships between schools and families, and the choices students have before them. Dana’s work as an independent educational consultant is rooted in the integrity and trust she builds with her families and student clients. Always accessible to her families, she builds a relationship with her clients to pursue their best interests and match them with their best fit schools and colleges.
Dana, her husband Jamie, and their two high school children reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. While Dana works locally with families considering independent schools and colleges, her expertise is also shared through virtual consultation with students from all geographical areas. When she is not meeting with families and students, Dana is researching and visiting colleges and day/boarding schools nationwide. She also loves spending time with her family and their dog, Birdie.
Let Dana at Pease Educational Planning LLC help guide your family’s educational path.
